Dallas W. Thompson

Dallas W. Thompson was the firstborn son. Raised in a small rural area, he learned to hand-pick cotton and potatoes. He worked for lunch money and purchased a used bicycle in high school. He had two sons, Dallas Steven Thompson and Shawn Wayne Thompson, who is deceased. In retirement, he began to reflect on what he did in the USAF. He wrote a book about his USAF experiences. The book's title is "Eyes Wide Shut: An Enigma." It is available on Amazon. One of three siblings of a preacher father and piano-playing mother.  He earned an MBA with distinction, a Master of Arts (MA), and a PhD in Operations Management (OM). The teaching credentials include a multiple- and single-subject science credential, an administrative credential, an engineering license (344256), a general contractor license, and a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) first-class license. This narrative describes the journey of accepting the challenge of poverty to achieve more wealth than he dreamed of and learning to make choices as a millionaire while highlighting the importance of lifelong learning.
